This guide walks you through the basics of creating your first shipment.
Step 1: Create a ShipmentYou can create shipments by:
Importing orders from Shopify or another webstore
Manually creating a shipment
Selecting an order from your Shipments table
Click Create Shipment to begin.
Step 2: Add Source & Destination InformationEnter the shipping details for both:
Business name (if applicable)
Contact name
Street address
City, state, ZIP/postal code
Country
Phone number and email
Recipient name
Street address
City, state, ZIP/postal code
Country
Contact phone number and email
If you’ve previously saved addresses, you can quickly select them from your Address Directory instead of retyping the information. If you have Shopify or another webstore connected then the Destination Address will already be completed.
To use saved addresses:
Click into the directory drop down
Select from your saved directory list
Confirm the details populate correctly
Saving frequently used addresses improves accuracy and speeds up fulfillment.
Step 3: Enter Package DetailsProvide:
Add Items to the Package (optional)
Package Type (Parcel or Poly-Mailer)
Package dimensions
Package weight
Accurate weight and dimensions ensure accurate carrier rates and help prevent post-shipment adjustments.
Step 4: Compare Carrier RatesDeliveri shows real-time rates from supported carriers in one view.
You’ll see:
Price
Estimated delivery time
Service level (Ground, 2-Day, Express, etc.)
Available add-ons (Insurance, Signature, Saturday Delivery, etc.)
This allows you to choose based on speed, cost, or delivery commitment.
Step 5: Add Optional ServicesDepending on your shipment, you may choose:
Insurance coverage
Signature Confirmation
Adult Signature Required (21 or Over)
Adult Signature Restricted Delivery (21 or Over)
Signature Confirmation Restricted Delivery
Saturday Delivery (when available)
These services help protect high-value shipments and reduce delivery disputes.
Step 6: Generate & Print Your LabelOnce you select your service:
Click Generate Label
Download the PDF
Print and attach to your package
Tracking is automatically generated and visible inside your dashboard.
Schedule Pickup or Drop OffAfter generating your label, you can choose how the package gets to the courier.
You may schedule a pickup:
Same day (if available in your area and within cutoff times)
Up to 6 days in advance
Excluding Sundays and carrier holidays
To schedule:
Go to the shipment
Select Schedule Pickup
Choose your preferred date
Confirm pickup details
Availability may vary based on carrier and location.
Tracking & Order UpdatesAfter label creation:
Tracking numbers appear in your Shipments table and in the Order Summary Page
Every tracking event will appear in tracking component on the Order Summary Page
Double-check all address details before purchasing
Always confirm weight and dimensions
Use signature services for high-value orders
Add insurance when shipping expensive items
Compare speed vs cost depending on your margin
Can I save addresses for future shipments?
Yes. You can store addresses in your Address Directory and reuse them anytime.
Can I compare multiple carriers at once?
Yes. Deliveri shows real-time rate comparisons in one dashboard view.
What happens if I enter the wrong address?
Incorrect addresses may result in carrier adjustment fees or delivery delays. Always verify before generating your label.
